====== All about little old me... ====== I am a Army Reserve Soldier, and a full-time computer geek. I have worked at The University of Texas at San Antonio in the IT Department ever since leaving the active duty Army. I work in Enterprise Services, managing the Unix servers. Please check out my resume. Go here for my weblog, including my journal from Iraq. ====== Broadcasting From Baghdad ====== I was deployed to Iraq from March 2004 to March 2005 with Charlie Company 2/7 Cav (1st Cavalry Division). I tried to keep a running journal of what I was up to so that my family and friends could stay aware of what was going on with me. Since I have been back, I have been going back and adding in entries to fill out the rest of the journal. //This section is nowhere near finished.// If you are interested in my experiences in Iraq, please check this area from time to time. I will be updating it as often as I can. ====== Interests ====== ===== Books ===== I am a very big SciFi/Fantasy fan, and I also really enjoy Stephen King and Tom Clancy as well. My favorite authors include: * Anne McCaffrey - who can't love Pern and the DragonRiders? * Robert Jordan - used to like him, until I realized that he was going to keep writing the same Wheel of Time novel over and over again until he died, which he did. * Isaac Asimov - 'nuff said * Stephen King - aka the Mad Genius. Roland and his ka-tet have consumed many hours of my time, may it do ya fine. * Glen Cook - best fantasy military writer ever. The Black Company rules! * etc, etc, etc.... ===== Music ===== ===== Computers and Stuff ===== My computer geek score is greater than 97% of all people in the world! How do you compare?
